Janhvi and Khushi revealed too much on the recent episode of Koffee with Karan 8, During one of the segments, Khushi recalled the traumatic time when they got to know about Mother Sridevi’s death. And then everything changed around them. They shared about the difficult time and the support they have been to each other.
Sridevi’s sudden demise
Veteran actor Sridevi died in February 2018, which was a great shock to the entire film industry and her family. Her two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor recently appeared on the latest episode of ‘Koffee with Karan 8’ and opened up about the day when their mother Sridevi died. The ‘Dhadak’ actor recalled that she got the news on a call when she was in her room. As soon as she hung up, she could hear her sister howling in the room next door.
In the Koffee with Karan 8, When Karan Johar asked about Sridevi’s death and how it was a ‘tough burden’ to take at their age, the Bawaal actress replied, “When I got the call, I was in my room, and I could hear wailing from Khushi’s room, and I think I barged into her room howling and crying. But what I do remember is, she looked at me and the minute she looked at me, she stopped crying. She just stopped crying. She sat next to me and started comforting me. And I have never seen her cry about it since.”
Adding to it, Khushi said that even though she is the youngest, she felt like she had to “hold it together” for her family. “I think I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel like I have always been the strong one,” she shared as Karan said that this was a “tough burden to take at your age.”

During the Koffee with Karan 8, Janhvi revealed that her rumored boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya is on her speed dial list. During a segment in the show, Karan asked her about three people on her speed dial list. To this, the actress replied, ‘Papa, Khushu, and Shiku.” and then went as she got embarrassed, leaving her sister and Karan to burst into laughter. Further, Karan also asked Khushi about the boys Janhvi has dated, but the latter asked her sister not to reveal any names. Janhvi is reportedly dating Shikhar Pahariya.

Talking about the professional front the Kapoor sisters are quiet doing too well, and Boney Kapoor is a proud father. While Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with Dhadak in 2018, opposite Varun Dhawan, Khushi was recently launched into the film industry by Zoya Akhtar with last year’s The Archie, along Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda.
